The New Year Rings in great promises for St. Margaret Mary Catholic School

We start back to school with great enthusiasm for much more to accomplish this semester. I have the pleasure to take out 10 students for lunch due to their accomplishments in making straight A's last quarter. Students are set for Winter testing the first full week to gage their accomplishment through NWEA MAP testing. Teachers are excited to put the new sound system to use. This was a great Christmas gift through the Westerman Foundation for our school. We are blessed to have such support from the community to ensure success for our students.

Teachers and students are already gearing up to prepare for the Catholic Schools' Week. Anticipate to receive your pre-registration package. Only families with completed Stewardship and has been caught up with their fees will receive the pre-registration package. Lots of activities to anticipate for the week, including a surprise announcement from Mr. Voboril, our Superintendent, at the Talent Show:

The Vietnamese New Year is also approaching at the same time this year. We are scheduled to celebrate the Year of the Red Fire Rooster on January 27th starting with an All School Mass and will follow up with the Lion Dancers at school. The community will continue to bring in the Lunar New Year at the Diocesan celebration on January 29th at The Church of Magdalen from 2:30 - 6:00p.m.

On February 1st, we will have our second Parent University from 6:00-7:00p.m. I hope to see lots of parents there to learn about the danger of the internet.

 Coming to Your School SOON

Please pray for the well being of all of our students as they learn and grow in the love of Christ. Pray for our faculty and staff as they seek guidance to help evangelize our students to know and live the life that God has intended for them.

In Christ,

Ms. Theresa Lam

Through the Sacred Heart of Jesus, St. Margaret Mary Catholic School forms the hearts and minds of young disciples.

"I need nothing but God, and to lose myself in the heart of Jesus. My love reigns in suffering, it triumphs in humility and enjoys itself in unity."
